There is a wealth of acts to choose from during SXSW, but here’s a little run down on the acts to check out from one of the SXSWisEASY guy’s home country – Canada.

1. First and foremost, Electro-punk party band Shout Out Out Out Out (Edmonton AB) put on a fantastic show and are going to be the band that will revive those weary shoes. The play March 20th at the Beauty Bar.

2. For a unique spin on hip hop check out quintessential story teller Buck 65 (Halifax NS). He’ll be dropping intriguing tales on March 21st at the Scoot Inn.

3. Then if you feel like a session of sultry dance, check out Thunderheist (Toronto ON).They play March 19th at the iheartcomix Showcase at the Beauty Bar

4. If you in the mood for something a bit lighter, Lorrie Matheson’s (Calgary AB) beautiful songwriting is a must. His showcase will be at Momo’s on Friday March 20th.

5. And If there aren’t enough emoticons to express your pent up rage, Toronto’s The Cancer Bats are in Austin to belt out some of their high energy screamcore. They play on at the Kerrang! Showcase on March 20th at Latitude 30.
