Do watch some trailers of films. They’re posted for a reason.
Don’t judge a film by its poster, either.
Do know your candy & food options. Some venues have a full bar too!
Don’t forget to tip if they do have a bar & wait staff.
Do remember some of the films may be a ‘rough cut’.
Don’t hold that against a film if you’re thinking of seeing it.
Do ask questions if a filmmaker is taking them. They want to know what you thought.
Don’t ask what kind of crack they were smoking while they made such a crappy movie.

Stand + Clap = Good. Sit + Clap/Half Speed = FAIL!
Do start a standing ovation if you feel like the movie deserved it.
Don’t start a slow clap, ever.
Do get to the venue early…the bigger the name, the bigger the line.
Don’t be afraid of documentaries. There are some really good ones this year.
Do refer to the movies as films. They’re art after all.
Don’t refer to the term ‘Mumblecore’ to the actual directors in that subgenre. They hate it. (We, on the other hand, love making fun of it.)
Do shut off your phone. We mean SHUT IT OFF, not set it on vibrate.
Don’t even think about texting either.
Do remember to bring some friends.
Don’t bring scripts to directors. They don’t want to read it.
